João Batalheiro Ferreira
João Batalheiro Ferreira (b. 1981) is Assistant Professor and Research Coordinator at iAdE–Faculty of Design, Technology, and Communication, Universidade Europeia, in Portugal. He is also Co-coordinator for the Bachelor in Design at the same instituion. João is a senior researcher at UNIDCOM/IADE Research Centre and collaborator of the CIAUD Research Centre at the University of Lisbon. He teaches Visual Design, Integrated Project Design, and Form Theory at undergraduate levels; and Design and Research Methodology at graduate levels. João’s research is focused on Design Education, specifically, João is an expert on teacher-student communication in the design studio. He is also interested in the impact of emergent technologies in our wellbeing and in the study of creativity and design.
