Abstract:

With one quarter of our global populous being of menstrual maturity, it must be questioned why menstruation and menstrual products continue to remain the subject of prejudice and taboo. Such multidisciplinary problems require multidisciplinary solutions-thus the REDD Centre was formed, utilizing resources from four key areas in the healthcare, biomedical and fine arts fields. This report outlines areas of menstrual health research in the respective disciplines, which will form the basis for inter-collaborative programs to raise the status of menstruators.
