Stephen McCarthy
Stephen is an experienced design and product leader with a track record of delivering influential, user-centred products and services at scale. He is currently Director of Design and Research at loveholidays, one of Europe’s fastest-growing online travel agents.
Prior to this, Stephen spent almost a decade in the UK government, where he was part of the team that launched GOV.UK. He later became Head of Design and led a team of over 40 practitioners for three years before moving to Which? as Director of Product Design and User Research.
Stephen specializes in evidence-based design and in building high-performing teams with strong commercial acumen. With a background in graphic design and typography, he also prides himself on staying close to the craft of product design.
