Elizabeth Resnick—a distinguished Professor Emerita and former chair of Graphic Design at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston—is a globally recognized design educator, writer, and curator. She has organized seven comprehensive design exhibitions, including the current traveling exhibition Women’s Rights Are Human Rights: International Posters on Gender-based Inequality, Violence, and Discrimination. Her publications include Women Graphic Designers, Bloomsbury Visual Arts (2025), The Social Design Reader, Bloomsbury Visual Arts (2019), Developing Citizen Designers, Bloomsbury Academic (2016), Design for Communication: Conceptual Graphic Design Basics, John Wiley & Sons (2003), and Graphic Design: A Problem-Solving Approach to Visual Communication, Prentice-Hall (1984). These works have further solidified her status as a thought leader in the field. She was awarded the 2025 AIGA Design Medal in recognition for her decades-long career as an educator, curator, and author.
